Biography:
I am a 30-something, Ph.D. -- originally from Texas. My dissertation title was "Deliberative Discourse, Bakhtinian Poetics, and Felicia Hemans: Toward Reconceptualizing an Interpretive Certainty." Don't ask me about mine, and I won't mention yours. I always heard that the only "good" dissertation was one that was bound on four sides; I get it now. Really.
I love to travel, I live to teach, and I enjoy reading and writing more than almost anything else.
I lived in the DFW area for six years -- working, editing, teaching, and finishing the Ph.D. Today, I'm enjoying the next stage of my busy journey post-grad school: living, learning, and working in Colorado.
I have a four nieces and nephews (Katie, Jack, Chloe, and Lily). I love to argue politics, watch Samurai and sci-fi movies, and go on beautiful Colorado day trips and hikes with my
happy Colorado dog, Gunnison.
Just this summer, I moved to Pueblo -- the first time I've lived and worked in the same place. I'm enjoying fixing up a historic Southside home, and getting to know Pueblo, as a citizen.
