Welcome:

I worked as a freelance writer and regional magazine editor for more than a decade. I have been a public school teacher, a graduate student and adjunct at Texas A&M University at Texarkana, and I worked as the co-director of TAMU-T’s Writing Center. I learned collegiality as an adjunct for five years at North Central Texas College in Corinth, and I discovered a million new ways to manage my time as an online writing consultant for www. smarthinking.com.

As a doctoral student at Texas Woman’s University, I learned academic research and writing and what it meant to become a true scholar.

In August 2008, I began teaching at Colorado State University-Pueblo as the university's Director of Writing and Assistant Professor of English. This coming academic year, I'll complete another degree in Women's Studies, under the direction of my mentor and friend, Dr. AnaLouise Keating.

During summer 2011, I led my 3rd study abroad trip at CSU-Pueblo to Italy and Greece. I also began working as the sole director of the Southern Colorado Writing Project. This fall, I'll submit the final draft of my forthcoming textbook, published at Fountainhead Press.

Welcome to my home on the Web!
